Nozomi Networks offers solutions that support maintaining maximum security and help protect OT, ICS and IoT networks and systems in your enterprise.

It is incredibly difficult for large enterprises to inventory resources with numerous distributed locations. With Nozomi Networks, these resources can be identified and effectively monitored. This allows you to react quickly to detected anomalies and vulnerabilities.

Nozomi Networks solutions

Nozomi Networks Guardian™ minimizes the risk of threats to the critical infrastructure of major energy, manufacturing, mining, transportation, construction and building automation companies around the world. It accelerates security and digital transformation by providing immediate and real-time visibility into the world of OT, IoT and IT infrastructure. Delivered as a physical appliance or virtual solution, it passively monitors network communications and device behaviour. It provides immediate insight into the state of the OT/ICS/IoT network and the behavioural patterns occurring within it. By observing the most serious vulnerabilities, threats and abnormal behaviour, it allows you to react faster to ensure higher reliability and security.

Guardian™ extensions

  • The Nozomi Networks Smart Polling™ module extends passive resource discovery methods on Guardian™ devices by actively polling selected devices. This allows for extensive resource tracking, vulnerability assessment and security monitoring. Smart Polling™ collects additional information about your network resources, e.g. operating system, embedded software, update level and more. With these, you can identify vulnerabilities before they are exploited and used for attack. Smart Polling™ also detects non-communicating resources and dangerous devices that are not part of your network.
  • Remote Collectors™ support data collection from elevated and distributed locations. By using them, the process of transferring data for analysis in the Guardian™ solution is also possible for smaller sites, while reducing the cost of implementing the entire solution.

Nozomi Networks Central Management Console™ (CMC) provides centralized management of OT/ICS/ IoT security - regardless of the size or dispersion of your infrastructure. CMC in physical, cloud or virtual versions unifies visibility and management of all Guardian instances for thousands of locations and end devices. Implementing unified visibility and consistent risk management is simple and fast both in the cloud and locally. CMC is a tool that provides key insights for those involved in security oversight from the IT or SOC side, and for technical services from OT departments.

Nozomi Networks solutions

Nozomi Networks Asset Intelligence™ continuously updates Guardian™ instances with a comprehensive profile of OT and IoT devices and their behavioural data. This allows for rapid identification of issues and instant response to key threat alerts. Asset Intelligence™ enables the Guardian™ solution to accurately classify assets, accelerating learning in OT and IoT environments. This provides access to detailed alerts that highlight important network maintenance and security anomalies. The Guardian™ solution's abnormal behaviour detection uses millions of OT and IoT device profiles to identify assets and alert on anomalies at enterprise scale.

Nozomi Networks Threat Intelligence™ continuously updates Guardian™ devices with valuable data and analytics - so vulnerabilities are quickly detected and threats can be addressed. Guardian combines Threat Intelligence™ information with broader behavioral context about network traffic and connected devices. This maximises security and provides comprehensive insight into infrastructure performance.

Why should industrial networks be secured against cyber-attacks?

The worst case scenario of a successful cyber attack on ICS systems is the disruption of industrial processes. Cyber-attacks on industrial systems result in both loss of money, e.g. due to downtime at a production plant, and possible physical damage. One of the first examples of this is the now famous attack on Iranian nuclear installations in 2010 with the Stuxnet malware, which resulted in physical damage to the turbines. In Germany in 2014, a hacking attack on a steel plant disrupted the control of a blast furnace. And in Ukraine in 2015 and 2016, attacks on electricity substations caused power outages for thousands of users. Analogous examples are numerous and come from virtually all over the world.

It is therefore important to also use specialised products to ensure industrial cyber security. Such solutions enable, among other things, passive monitoring of industrial networks, including packet analysis of various protocols used in ICS systems, so that anomalies in the command flow of an industrial process can be found.

How Nomios Poland Poland helps to secure industrial networks?

Since it's beginning Nomios Poland Poland relies on professional technical services as an integral part of the provided solutions. These services include, among others:

  • analysis of IT security management processes in an organisation
  • building IT/OT environment security strategy
  • technical consultancy
  • implementation services
  • training courses
  • technical support services
  • maintenance of IT/OT security infrastructure.

In the area of industrial network security we focus on:

Identify risks and determine where in the system the most urgent action is required:

  • reduce the risk of production processes being disrupted by unauthorised interference with control systems
  • comply with regulations on the requirements for critical infrastructure
  • verify that critical infrastructure is adequately protected against intrusions into networks and information and communication technology systems
  • increasing confidence that rules for access to, and operation of, computer-based surveillance and control systems provide adequate accountability and monitoring to enable the causes of potential incidents to be identified.

Carry out a security analysis of the area of industrial automation and critical infrastructure in terms of:

  • network architecture, with particular emphasis on the separation of the corporate network (IT) from the industrial automation (OT) network,
  • security processes in the OT environment (access, monitoring, incidents, change implementation, service access rules),
  • an independent evaluation of the activities carried out to date and consultations with a view to optimising them.

Designing the safety architecture of the industrial automation area:

  • OT security risk assessment
  • OT network design
  • design and implementation of an OT security system
  • OT safety procedures and standards

Providing these services is possible thanks to a qualified team of engineers with knowledge, certificates and many years of practical experience in implementing IT and OT Security solutions.

We have a team of experienced network, cyber security and OT network security specialists. Our engineers are certified by industry standards (e.g. CISSP, ISC2) and leading manufacturers of network equipment (e.g. Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet), cyber security solutions (e.g. McAfee, IBM Qradar, Proofpoint) and OT security (e.g. Nozomi Networks).
