Why should industrial networks be secured against cyber-attacks?

The worst case scenario of a successful cyber attack on ICS systems is the disruption of industrial processes. Cyber-attacks on industrial systems result in both loss of money, e.g. due to downtime at a production plant, and possible physical damage.
